Join us for our upcoming Confidential Sexual Violence Advocate training hosted by SAVE of Essex County!
Confidential Sexual Violence Advocates (CSVA) are trained to respond on our 24-hour hotline to accompany survivors of sexual violence through medical exams at hospitals, reporting at police precincts, and legal proceedings at courtrooms throughout Essex County.
This 40-hour state-mandated training curriculum was developed by the New Jersey Coalition Against Sexual Assault and provides in-depth training on topics such as crisis intervention, dynamics of sexual assault and domestic violence, violence against marginalized and oppressed groups, advocacy skills, and more.
The training is offered in a hybrid format and will take place on Monday and Tuesday evenings. Please see the flyer linked here for more information!
