Family Service League Receives $80,656 Grant

Family Service League is pleased to announce that it has received a grant for $80,656 from The Healthcare Foundation of New Jersey. The grant will assist Family Service League in providing quality, affordable, and accessible counseling services to individuals, couples, and families. This grant is a part of a third-year renewal in response to the increased demand for service initially identified during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Family Service League provides services to all community members, regardless of their financial means, and fulfills a need that directly impacts our community. Since 2023, Family Service League has approximately doubled the number of counseling sessions to its clients, with survivors of sexual violence and domestic violence, including their significant others, making up roughly 75% of all sessions.

The Executive Director of Family Service League, Nur S. Kalyoncu stated: “With this grant from The Healthcare Foundation, we will be able to provide quality, affordable, trauma-informed care to our clients and the most marginalized members of our community to promote healing. We are deeply appreciative of the generous grant awarded us by The Healthcare Foundation of New Jersey.”
