NJCASA’s October Coalition Colleague of the Month

FSL would like to congratulate Alina McKnight, Bilingual Outreach Educator, for being nominated as NJCASA’s Coalition Colleague of the Month. We are so proud of the work that Alina does for FSL, and we are so grateful to have her as a part of our team. Please read below for NJCASA’s comment:

In September, Alina personally answered 356 hotline calls (both English and Spanish) and responded to 6 activations, half of which served Spanish-speaking survivors. In addition to her work on our hotline, Alina has continued to provide outreach to the Essex County community, including a bilingual presentation on cyberbullying and sexual violence. Alina has also attended multiple tabling events, including the Domestic Violence Resource Latin Festival. We are so grateful and humbled by Alina's dedication to FSL/SAVE, to survivors, to the Latinx community, and to the field of sexual violence prevention.
