SAVE co-sponsors “Start By Believing Day” at Bloomfield College

This year, in honor of Sexual Assault Awareness Month in April, SAVE was proud to co-sponsor and plan a “Start By Believing Day” event at Bloomfield College on Wednesday, April 2, 2025. Students, faculty, and staff on campus were invited to Talbott Hall to learn more about Sexual Assault Awareness Month, become more familiar with both on- and off-campus partners and resources, and sign the campus-wide “Start By Believing" pledge, which signals to victims and survivors that they are heard, believed, and supported throughout their journeys. Community partners such as the Essex County Family Justice Center, Sanar Institute, Roots and Wings, the Passaic County Domestic and Sexual Violence Center, and more were present with their information for students to access. SAVE is proud to work with Bloomfield College and their parent university, Montclair State University, on important initiatives such as these.
